A stunning and rare wooden sideboard by Axel Einar Hjorth from his 'Record' series for Nordiska Kompaniet, Sweden. This piece was made in 1933 and is made of flamed birch with Macassar veneer wood at the bottom and top of the frame. The wood has a beautiful warm color and the combination gives this piece a Classic appearance. The sideboard has three doors and inside are shelves and three small drawers. This piece is marked by Nordiska with model number '36925', indicating it was made in 1933. Hjorth was the chief designer/architect at Nordiska from 1927-1938. The sideboard has been professionally restored in our in-house atelier. Some small damage points on the Macassar veneer have been restored. The high quality of this restoration can be seen in picture 7.
