Bega, Melchiorre

(1898 - 1976)

Melchiorre Bega was an Italian architect and designer, who worked from the 1920s up until his death in 1976. He graduated in architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. From 1941 to 1944 he directed the magazine Domus, after Gio Ponti and together with Pagano and Bontempelli. 

Examples of his architectural work are the Grand Hotel Duomo (1950) and the Galfa Tower (1959), both in Milan.
