Bally, Jürg

(1923 - 2002)

Jürg Bally was a Swiss architect and designer. He studied architecture in Zurich from 1945 to 1948. He worked at the offices of architects Alfred Roth and Le Corbusier. From 1952 to 1954 he spent time in the USA and Canada. In this period he designed furniture for Knoll International. Back in Zurich, in 1954, he started his own interior design firm.

Examples of projects he worked on are the furnishing of the passenger ship Basilea (1959) and a house for the 1964 World Expo in Lausanne.
